Discovering the medieval Castles into the Tuscany countryside around Lucca.
This fascinating itinerary will lead you to the discovery of medieval castles in Tuscany, just a few kilometres away from the centre of Lucca.
The first castle is the “Castello di Nozzano”, to reach it you take the cycle lane of Serchio’s River, a pleasing ride into nature. Once arrived, you will be able to relax near the alleys of the village, to visit the Castle or simply sit at the village café..
The trip continues along gorgeous country sideways until “Castello di Ripafratta” is reached, positioned on the other side of the river. Here you will admire the majestic towers built in the hills and also learn about tales and legends about the castle..
At the end of the tour we will come back to Lucca, still taking the river’s cycle lane.
